I only have one word to fully encompass Whistler Blackcomb. Magestic. Luckily I have more than one word.
Early morning when your on the chairlift you get that feeling of calm before the thrill of seeing one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.
We started our day on 7th heaven, Blackcomb Mountain. The run was coated in crisp untouched powder glowing in the morning sun. The day was spent exploring, enjoying the countless alpine runs; the favourite of which was the Enchanted Forest.
Our second day was insanely beautiful and terrifying. Whistler mountain was sunny and clear, the view from the peak made your heart skip a beat. The sight? Black Tusk is a pinnacle of volcanic rock, seen best from Whistler Mountain’s top.
The quickest way to get to the Peak Lookout, for Little Whistler Peak, is to take the Saddle. Don’t let the blue square fool you. Its literally a straight drop from the top! My life literally flashed before my eyes on the way down, and there were defiantly tears. But we all powered through, and are stronger for it. Talk about conquering fears. Don’t let this description put you off. This is by far in the most exciting runs to tackle.
Another cracking addition to the Whistler Ski experience is the Après ski in whistler village. The bars fill with boisterous groups, fresh off the slopes all intent on having a good time. The main bar next to the gondola is by far the loudest; Longhorn Salon & Grill.
Thanks Whistler! Cant wait to see you again soon!
